Posted on: February 5th, 2010 Bishop Doyle on the Ministry of the Priesthood
This is just the latest reason I am so proud and grateful to be a (potential) priest in the Diocese of Texas, under the leadership of our pater familias, Andy Doyle.
I hope you will take time to read this (all of it), especially if you are skeptical (as are many of my good friends) of the spiritual vibrancy of this church of mine.

You are very blessed to have Rev. Doyle as your Bishop! It’s funny that in the Sunday School class I’m currently attending, called Church 101, we talked about the fact that the presbyters and bishops (my words not the teacher’s) watch over our souls, as well as some of their other responsibilities. Thank God for the elders and overseers that he has given to nurture us, guide us, and protect us, on our way to our eternal habitation in the glorious presence of the Holy Trinity!

February 7th, 2010 at 11:37 pmThanks Gordon! Great to hear from you. Bp. Doyle also has a YouTube channel, BTW.
Also he gave final approval this past week for my ordination to the priesthood, thanks be to God! Probably in early June. Hope you can make it!

March 13th, 2010 at 12:15 pmHi Matt,
I don’t think I can since I’m planning to be in Malaysia at the time. But, I’m excited for you. Say “hi” to your lovely wife and girls for me and Teresa.
