		<description>I&#039;d suggest installing Akismet if you haven&#039;t already.  I don&#039;t think it&#039;s ever let a spam comment come through, and it lets you delete them en masse without touching the legitimate comments.</description>

		<description>wow.  if you google each the permalink from each post that had comments, and then select the cached version, you&#039;ll be able to recover the majority of the comments.  i&#039;m not sure when google will refresh its cache, so time is of some essence.  maybe i&#039;ll get around to it at work tomorrow if things are slow.</description>
